Warped Fall-out

Yesterday Bobby and I made the trek to Minneapolis for the Warped tour. I had to get up at 6:00 in the morning to do this. Not cool after a night of headwaiting. I did manage to stay awake for the drive, though, which was good. The day was pretty hot, though the clouds did roll in occassionally to provide some much-needed relief.
We were able to see a lot more bands than I have ever been able to catch in a day at Warped. The Starting Line did much better than they did in Milwaukee. I think the earlier time slot helped. Got to see Mest, Motion City, My Chemical Romance, and many others. Fall Out Boy's set hurt the most, though. Between the heat in general, the push of the crowd, and all of the crowd surfers dropped on my head, I almost had to get out. I have never been knocked on my ass so many times before. I actually have welts on my shoulder from being scraped against the concrete. Bruises are better than the bloody elbow of the last show, though. It was all well-worth it, though. I think the heat and lack of sleep of the last few days got to me, though. Bobby and I had found some chairs on top of a hill to sit down and watch the main stages from, and I managed to fall asleep in my chair while watching the Offspring. Poor Bobby. I was no company for the ride home. I tried so hard to stay awake, but it just wasn't happening.

Today I woke up sick as a dog. I guess that's what I get from getting covered in other people's sweat. I was nice and gross yesterday. I need to get some stats done, though. I've missed the last two days of class, which is basically two weeks of a normal smester. Gotta get caught up, which isn't easy to do when you're sick. I have no concentration.
